Karee is a brand born from a rich heritage of textiles, woven with a vision for a sustainable future. Founded in 1971 by a man with a pioneering spirit, our story began in a small South Indian village. Defying expectations, he built a successful textile business within a short span of five years, earning the trust of his community through his unwavering commitment to integrity, quality, sustainability, and exceptional customer service.
Born in 1985, I, the youngest son of the brand's founder, grew up surrounded by the world of fashion, high-quality products, and dedicated customer care. Witnessing these values firsthand instilled a deep respect for ethical practices within me. However, tragedy struck in the late 1990s with the passing of my father. The weight of the business and family loss threatened to dismantle his legacy.
Karee is the revival of a cherished brand. It embodies the values instilled by that hardworking dreamer. We strive to capture the essence of that small Indian village textile shop – a place where tradition met innovation, and where reserved national parks and thriving wildlife inspired beautiful creations. Just like the elephant, our logo represents strength, intelligence, and timeless elegance – traits that define the Karee brand.

As a parent himself, Shins is intimately familiar with the challenges faced by parents when shopping for children’s clothing, and he is committed to addressing those issues through innovative design and quality materials.

Tina Mathew, also a director at KAREE, serves as the creative head and oversees all aspects of PR, social media marketing, and other marketing initiatives. As a fellow parent, Tina shares Shins’ commitment to making sustainable and eco-friendly clothing for children, and she works tirelessly to ensure that Karee’s values are communicated effectively to the wider public.
